Position Summary:

This position is responsible for training, overseeing, and assigning tasks to Associate Test Developers. The Test Development Contractor Coordinator will collaborate with the Test Development Trainer to ensure that the associates receive training for all new tasks assigned to them. The Contractor Coordinator will also coordinate with the Test Development Managers to assign tasks based on the associates' skill level and training received. The Test Development Contractor Coordinator will be responsible for performing quality control checks on the products that the associates work on and will guide the associates in correcting any errors in their work. The Contractor Coordinator will be expected to communicate any issues or incidents to the Test Development Managers or Director. The Contractor Coordinator will collaborate with an external hiring firm to identify and interview candidates for Associate Test Developer positions. This role is accountable for hiring, team performance, workflow management, project prioritization, deadlines, project assignment, and oversight of day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities:

A Test Development Contractor Coordinator should be able to independently perform all Test Developer duties without supervision, in addition to performing the following duties independently:
  • Show initiative for resolution activities and improving existing processes.
  • Develop and maintain training and professional development schedules for Associate Test Developers in coordination with the Test Development Trainer.
  • Develop and maintain checklists and procedure documents.
  • Understand the various steps within the test development process, why they are performed, and when they should be modified.
  • Supervise 6+ contract test developers
  • Manage the activities of Associate Test Developers to maximize work effort, deliver products on time, ensure accuracy, and provide excellent service to business partners. This includes managing day-to-day activities and providing project oversight.
  • Coordinate with resource and project management teams to develop production schedules and workflow. This includes involvement in project initiation and scope definition and/or review.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing by managing the hiring process and conducting performance management of team members.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor?s Degree
  • Two years? editing experience
  • Two years' management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • 12-18 months of experience as a Test Developer
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently

  • Knowledge of the responsibilities of various departments within Ascend
  • Ability to coordinate with various resource groups to document process changes and training needs
  • Ability to communicate project workflow and task, and simplify complex processes
  • Ability to effectively provide instruction and oversight of new test developers and monitor training and remediation

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
