Job description: Summary



Visual Arts Figure Model will enable Fine Art Students to draw the human body by posing for class participants.



Essential Functions



  • Pose for fine arts figure drawing course (Monday and Wednesday afternoons, 1-4pm)

  • Be able to provide a full range of traditional life drawing poses, from gestures to sustained poses, as required by tradition and the instructor.

  • Provide traditional gestures and poses as well as anatomical studies.

  • The model poses without clothing in figure drawing.

Qualifications



  • Previous experience as an artist's model or dance or theater experience.

  • Be aware of classic and traditional poses in the art tradition.

  • Acceptance of the responsibility to promote the welfare and best interests of students at all times.

  • A demonstrable understanding and acceptance of the mission, values, goals and objectives of SCC.

  • The ability to perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations and goals of the institution, community and technical college system.

  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering and supporting a teaching, learning and working environment that honors diversity, equity and inclusion.

  • Be physically able to provide a full range of body gestures and poses, from quick gestures to long, sustained poses.

  • Be able to hold poses for the sustained drawings.
