Associate Director, Philanthropic Partnerships

Our philanthropic partners have included the Ford Foundation, Craig Newmark Philanthropies and Alfred P. Sloan Foundation who aided our work on digital privacy and, Breakthrough Energy, Climate Imperative Foundation and the Energy Foundation who fueled our efforts towards a clean, safe and equitable energy and transportation future.<br><br>The Philanthropic Partnerships team works to secure the philanthropic resources necessary to advance CR?s mission through its programs and operations. Reporting to the Senior Director, the Associate Director, Philanthropic Partnerships will help achieve fundraising and institutional goals by providing strategic support for fundraising and management of restricted funds; financial reporting and planning; and optimizing the Cy Pres award program. The successful candidate must reside within 75-miles of our Yonkers, NY or Washington, DC office. This position is not eligible for sponsorship<br><br><strong>How You'll Make An Impact<br><br></strong>Your efforts will help us create collaborative partnerships that drive change and promote innovation in the marketplace, ultimately empowering consumers to protect themselves.<br><br>This position will focus on:<br><br><ul><li> Maintaining an effective and efficient grants management system to ensure that we deliver on current commitments for restricted giving, overseeing grant agreements in collaboration with our donors and supervising the process internally with related stakeholders. </li><li> Collaborating with Philanthropic Partnerships Senior Director, Director, and CR leadership on development of the department goals and objectives and advising and facilitating the execution of strategy towards meeting organizational goals. </li><li> Developing and implementing a Cy Pres award strategy which includes building relationships with associations and attorneys in order to raise CR?s profile in the legal community. </li><li> Managing team operations. <br><br></li></ul><strong>About You<br><br></strong><strong>You?ll Be Highly Rated If:<br><br></strong><ul><li> You have the required education and experience. We?re looking for someone with a Bachelor?s Degree and at least 5-years professional experience working in non-profit fundraising systems with increasing responsibilities. </li><li> You can provide the receipts through a demonstrated track record of success in operations, reporting and analytics. </li><li> You?re a problem solver. You can identify and solve problems while managing multiple priorities and efforts of other team members. </li><li> You can summarize the essence of issues and the means to address them by tapping into your strong written and verbal communication skills. </li><li> You are deadline-driven and able to develop and move projects forward with independence and autonomy. </li><li> You have high detail orientation. You check and double check your work, especially around the accuracy and quality of numbers and data. </li><li> You are a team player with an institution-wide view. The target salary range for this position is $145k to $160k. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range.
