The Systems Engineering Group is the technical lifeblood of the Sales and Field Operations organization. Our engineers design and implement the innovative communications solutions that make a difference in the moments that matter. As the solution architecture and technical consulting lead, the Systems Engineering Group has end-to-end design, technology consultancy, and implementation responsibility for all pre-sale and post-sale engagements nationwide. <b>
Job Description</b></h2><ul><li>
The Systems Engineer will fulfill post-sale responsibilities and requirements that occur after the sale of the company&rsquo;s product to the client.</li><li>
Provides post-sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation and maintenance of company products.</li><li>
May be involved in implementing detailed customer installation requirements.</li><li>
Ensures that client&rsquo;s needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully functioning according to specification.</li><li>
May provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.</li><li>
Responsible for the complete design of a company product or system from technical roadmap to architectural designs.</li><li>
Defines appropriate platforms and system specifications.</li><li>
Determines core server infrastructure, capacity planning, storage requirements and networking protocols.</li><li>
Develops technical, tactical and strategic plans, systems definition and feasibility determination.</li><li>
Lead and define technical network architecture designs for ASTRO 25 mobile backhaul networks.</li><li>
Lead and define technical network architecture designs for adjacent technologies mobile backhaul networks.</li><li>
Create and document detailed network drawings.</li><li>
Continually evaluate third party vendor equipment used in our portfolio.</li><li>
Work with third party vendors/contractors to ensure delivery of requirements set forth by the design.</li><li>
Support the engineering community in best practices for network designs.</li><li>
Network topology assessments and troubleshooting.</li><li><p>
Can be located in office or remote (Continental US).</p></li></ul><p></p><p>
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's &quot;Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy&quot; and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.</p><p><br>

Basic Requirements</b></h2><ul><li><p>
Bachelor's (BS) Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science OR 8+ years experience in one of the following: Electronics Technician, System Technologist, System Manager, or Field Service Experience with one or more of the following: LMR, RF systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems or Networking equipment.</p></li><li><p>
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract(s).</p></li><li><p>
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.</p></li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
