What you?ll achieve
You will act as legal advisor to Dell?s global Digital (IT) organization and Dell?s Chief Digital Officer (CIO). As part of this role, you will manage a variety of information technology-related legal matters, provide oversight for global governance and regulatory compliance programs, as well as partner with cross-functional business functions, including the Security & Resiliency Organization (SRO), Global Procurement, Data Strategy & Analytics, Commerce Services and Privacy. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting edge legal issues and gain experience and knowledge in rapidly evolving areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) /Machine Learning (ML), Information Technology Security, Cybersecurity and data governance.
You will:
Provide legal advice and counsel to the Dell Digital organization on the development and enforcement of policies, procedures, protocols, assessments related to IT and IT security
Review and evaluate the impact of legislative, regulatory, and industry proposals applicable to Dell?s IT organization and support compliance programs related thereto
Help drive Dell Digital?s Generative AI Governance Initiatives and provide support to Dell?s AI Working Group
Partner with Privacy, SRO and SRO Legal team to respond to privacy and security incidents relating to Dell Digital Commerce Services
Coordinate and collaborate with product lawyers and other teams to evaluate IT requirements for new product launches

Essential Requirements
Must have a law degree from a recognized university and must be admitted to a recognized bar
5-7 years law firm and/or in-house experience with IT operations and/or technologies, IT/software procurement
Familiarity with IT, data center operations, networks, Internet infrastructure or IT security and ability to communicate and discuss complex technical concepts
Knowledge of global industry standards and security frameworks, information security and privacy laws and regulations (e.g. ISO, NIST CSF, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, CCPA et al)
Experience in IT contracting, with an emphasis on drafting and negotiating, cloud services (e.g. SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, information technology and software licensing agreements, collocation agreements, software development agreements
Desirable Requirements
Regulatory interpretation experience as well as Legal project management experience is helpful
Familiarity with AI/ML and/or software development
