They also examine and explore data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of discovering insights including value-based contracting, business case development and quality metrics. Additionally, this role will manage and respond to internal and external data needs, including coordinating requests, understanding the purpose of the requests, corresponding with requestors to clarify needs, and making every effort to deliver the analytics in an appropriate format and a timely and efficient manner. This role will translate analytic findings into business solutions that provide impact and align with the mission and vision of the organization. Purpose The purpose of this position is to help manage, design and analyze data in order to build data driven business insights and high impact analytics to generate significant business value collaborating with various departments. Responsibilities Conceptualize, create, and maintain operational and research related data models in Redshift for database reporting visualization by working closely with Decision Support, Clinical, and Research teams and learning data frameworks, regulations, and security of data. Facilitate collaboration between our research teams and data partners for the acquisition of data for quality operations and research publications following IRB and regulatory standards. Strategize on making analyses easily repeatable and generalizable by other team members in the future by documenting assumptions, methodology, validation and testing to facilitate sharing of knowledge and insight. Continue to learn and grow skills relevant to their assigned job duties via both formal training and on-the-job research to be able to mentor other analysts and strategize new solutions. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in a related field and 3+ years in data programming or healthcare setting (SQL, Redshift, etc). 2+ years of experience using Tableau or similar visualization tools to build dashboards and analyze data. Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and techniques. Experience with advanced analytics, strong attention to detail, likes to solve problems, and is intellectually curious and an innovator. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience defining and developing measurement frameworks, KPIs, and information governance standards around those frameworks. Ability to communicate well, present ideas and solution to executives and coherently discuss complex topics with both technical and business audiences. Highly competent with quantitative data analysis and utilizing data to drive decision-making, specifically related to financial analysis and data support to determine the financial viability and efficacy of proposed service lines. Ability to tell a story with data both verbally and visually. Have an open mind to pick up new analytical techniques as required. Demonstrate expert skills in analytical and statistical techniques and approaches used to drive fact-based decision-making. Successful partnering experience with technology departments, data integration and decision science-based resources to solve complex business problems. Provides subject matter expertise in operationalizing recommendations. Experience in mentoring fellow analyst and keeping relevant skills up to date. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Master?s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences or other quantitative discipline. Experience with health data analytics, particularly with AthenaHealth analytics or Cerner. Experience with AWS, Python, or Java. Understanding of AWS platforms and tools. Application of data privacy practices and laws to ensure privacy, security, and confidentiality, including HIPAA and IRB Approval. Proficient skills with Exploratory Data Analysis and Statistics. Proficient skills with modeling and forecasting beyond simple regression. May consider professional experience and industry certifications in lieu of education.
