The Data Products Research Team focuses on delivering value to our clients through leading the design, development, and execution of research derived from YouGov?s industry-leading research platform, including BrandIndex, Profiles, and more. Our team uses a powerful mix of syndicated and custom research designs, tools, analytics, data science, and data visualization to deliver impactful data to answer clients? strategic areas of focus such as Brand Health Tracking, Customer Funnel Journeys, Audience Sizing & Profiling, and Campaign Tracking. The Data Products Research Team plays a vital role within the company, as it is a leadership function in producing high-quality survey instruments and designs that provide macro, category, consumer, and brand insights to our clients.

As the Survey Research Editor, you?ll lead the production of survey content in collaboration with stakeholders across several functions, including Product Management, Syndicated Delivery, Client Services, Account Management, Marketing, Commercial Sales, and more. You will support YouGov clients ranging from Fortune 100s to fast-growing startup companies, spanning a variety of industries including media companies, marketing agencies, travel, tourism, leisure, entertainment, retail, gaming, sports, technology, consumer packaged goods and more.

What You Will Learn

This role is a high-level, Individual Contributor with specialized expertise in survey research design. You will guide the development of surveys and questionnaires produced by our Product Research team, ensuring they have the tools, capabilities, and skills to deliver. Your role will also be to advise the broader organization on sound design with a hands-on approach to finalizing survey content.

You should already know how to conduct solid survey research including sample design, questionnaire design and execution. You will learn how to connect data between our sources, plan content broadly for various industries, and work in a connected, multi-functional system. You will also learn crucial leadership skills, such as delegation vs applying competence directly and working through the team to maximize impact.

Job Responsibilities

Content, content, content. The primary focus of this role is to produce great ?content? (i.e. survey questionnaires and designs). Our product is our content, so this plays an important role in the offering from YouGov.

? Create surveys and review the team's surveys, looking for quality and applying a consistent "style" to all surveys
? Take incoming requirements from internal teams and clients (from our commercial team) and convert those into actionable survey instruments.
? Ensure the team executes survey instruments in collaboration with our internal syndicated delivery team.
? Troubleshoot content-related issues and questions arising from our clients and internal teams.
? Manage a team of 4-7 people remotely.

Qualifications

? You should have a tremendously high level of skill in writing surveys and survey questions.
? 8-10 years?+ experience in survey marketing research
? Preference if you have experience managing a team. Ideally experienced managing a remote team
? Bachelor?s degree or higher in marketing, research, or a related field (i.e., economics, psychology, business, etc.)
? Strong command of Microsoft Office
? Knowledge of at least one data visualization platform preferred (Tableau, PowerBI, YouGov UIs, other)

Preference given, not required:

? Experience of working in supporting client-facing projects
? Understanding of R a plus; not required
? Understanding of SQL, a plus; not require
? Experience with JIRA or other support programs

Location and Working Hours

? This role can operate fully remote, hybrid, or within one of our many global offices
? The candidate must be available for at least a portion of working business hours in the US, as the leadership team is primarily spread across North America
