<strong>Position Summary:<br><br></strong>The purpose of this role is to reduce over the road breakdowns by using advanced analytics and proprietary systems to identify units that exhibit indicators of a pending breakdown. This will not only reduce maintenance costs associated with roadside assists, but it will also be leveraged as a sales and marketing feature.<br><br><strong>Major Responsibilities:<br><br></strong><ul><li> Conduct their own analysis and work with Penske and outside AI and Big Data resources to identify new breakdown scenarios and to understand the time and mileage tiers to which they correspond.</li><li> Work with IT, Marketing, 24/7, and PM Scheduling to design and manage processes to identify units that are likely to incur a RSA event and to notify the customer and the appropriate repairing location.</li><li> Track the program?s benefits, and will make progress reports to internal management and customers with large fleets.</li><li> Work with 24/7 to identify those units the program missed, assess the causes, and initiate improvement activity.</li><li> Continuously identify and analyze those factors that impact the accuracy of either the scenarios or the time and mileage tiers.</li><li> Integrate other systems as needed to allow the repairing locations to reduce their repair cycle time and to provide a repair effectiveness indicator afterwards.</li><li> Other projects as assigned by the Director<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications:<br><br></strong><ul><li> Bachelor's Degree required, concentration in Statistics, Industrial Engineering preferred</li><li> Master's Degree preferred</li><li> 3 years of experience in the transportation industry required</li><li> Must understand fault codes and how they impact the operation of the vehicle</li><li> Ability to evaluate data sets to identify significant differences required</li><li> Must understand and manage the factors that influence a process</li><li> Ability to relate data and information to field maintenance processes required</li><li> Must think logically</li><li> Must be capable of driving process improvement</li><li> Good written and verbal communication skills required</li><li> Project management experience preferred</li><li> Must have strong collaboration skills <li> Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job</li><li> Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical Requirements:<br><br></strong><ul><li> The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
