Team Intro As a Content Safety Moderation Specialist, you are responsible for reviewing contents to ensure it adheres to established community guidelines. You will review TikTok contents, often of a graphic nature, and enforce policy decisions related to content. You will be on the front lines, handling sensitive, complex user-facing issues to protect the platform and keep users safe. This role also requires creative solutions, especially a deep understanding of abuse trends specific to US cultural norms and sensitivities. You have a genuine passion for moderation (policy enforcement), quality assurance, intellectual property, privacy, and online safety. This position will be full-time and based in Scottadale, Arizona. To eliminate any doubt, this role involves reading, viewing, listening to and examining user-generated content to ensure it complies with community guidelines. Content includes images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; and murder. Our Content Moderators review content in continuous succession during each shift and it is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content on a daily basis. In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time. Responsibilities: ?Learn TikTok policies and guidelines spanning a variety of content types and issue areas. ?Apply policies and guidelines to large volumes of TikTok content with high accuracy and consistency to ensure the legal compliance and safety of content. ?Help support the development, improvement, and maintenance of standards for the security of our online communities. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications ?Fast learner with strong attention to detail; able to pick up complex concepts (such as Community Guidelines) quickly. ?Required to work in office 3 days a week, subject to change. ?Comfortable with and understand that the job requires reviewing internet content that may be deemed inappropriate and/or contain explicit materials. Preferred Qualifications ?Passion for maintaining a high standard of work. ?Familiarity with internet laws and regulations, in particular reviewing online content, is a plus. ?Active usage and interest in short video platforms. ?Resilience and persistence to handle routine daily tasks efficiently and accurately. ?Experience in a BPO/call center/content moderation environment is a plus. ?Track record of consistently meeting company metrics placed in a scorecard. ?Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role. ?Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
