We are a distinguished provider of Early Intervention services approved by the New York State Department of Health. We are committed to delivering exceptional evaluations, service coordination, and therapeutic interventions for children from birth to 21 years old across New York City's 5 boroughs, upstate, and Long Island.
We are currently seeking passionate NYS Licensed Special Educators to... join our team and provide therapeutic services in the comforting environment of children's homes throughout the 5 boroughs of NYC. At Hand In Hand, we prioritize a collaborative, team-centered approach that encourages cooperation among all disciplines involved.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Implement behavior intervention strategies in home, school, or community settings.
Work closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized programs aligned with the child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Maintain open communication and collaboration with supervisors.
Engage effectively with our team of multi-disciplinary service providers.
Education And Experience Requirements
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
Possess a Master's Degree in Special Education, Social Work, or related field.
Hold NYS Licensure as a Special Educator or LMSW.
Have Teaching Certifications: Students with Disabilities Birth - 2nd grade.
Possess an Initial, Professional, or Permanent Special Education Certificate.
Additional Qualifications Include
CPR Certification (Preferred).
Experience in developing behavior plans and skill acquisition plans.
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with parents.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities.
Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
Job Type
This position is offered on a Fee for Service basis, with rates as follows:
$60 for a 30-minute session, $80 for a 60-minute session without DOH Letter.
$65 for a 30-minute session, $85 for a 60-minute session with DOH Letter.
Schedule
Flexibility in scheduling is available to accommodate both personal and professional commitments.
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel to various locations for client meetings, attend appointments, and visit healthcare facilities.
Capacity to safely perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable standards.
Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs.
Effective communication abilities, including speaking clearly and listening attentively.
