Should a candidate be selected for a part-time instructor position, no minimum course load is guaranteed and teaching assignments, if any, are contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, minimum student enrollment and/or department need. CSN is looking to hire part-time instructors to teach Global Studies courses (mostly on-ground, but possibly online). Job responsibilities will include teaching mostly Introduction to Global Studies. Duties also include developing syllabi and course materials as well as evaluation of mastery of skills and competencies as required by course outcomes. Successful candidates are expected to provide an excellent teaching experience, engage in student advisement and participate in assessment of general education, program and course outcomes. Minimum Requirements To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Master's degree in global studies or closely related field (e.g., political science, international relations, comparative politics, etc.) from a regionally accredited college or university [Ph.D. is preferred]. Also preferred is a candidate that can teach a course on world geography. Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
