Job Description and Responsibilities

This is a full-time (part-time applicants may be considered), itinerant role as a Teacher for the Blind or Visually Impaired located in Crystal Lake, IL. The B/VI Teacher will be responsible for providing instruction and support to students with blindness or visual impairments in a school setting. Daily tasks include creating lesson plans, implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), assessing student progress, and collaborating with other educators and professionals.
? This is an itinerant position serving several buildings in a K-8 District.
? Gen ed/low incidence population

Qualifications
? 2+ years of experience in a school setting
? Vision specialization
? Organizational and time management skills
? Proficient in use of technology
? Fingerprint background clearance
? Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
? Teaching experience required
? Background and criminal history check
? Case management duties
? Team collaboration
? Student support services

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $58.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
