This team supports functionality, processes, and projects related to the Qatar campus, Office of the Registrar, the advising community, and the remaining campus community. THIS POSITION IS ON SITE. THE SELECTED CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO BE ON CAMPUS/IN PERSON. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor?s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ten (10) years of experience in the IT industry performing business process analysis and software quality assurance testing, which includes five (5) years of experience in team or project leadership and four (4) years of experience using the following software: Ellucian?s Banner student information system, Automic?s UC4 Application Manager (to schedule and monitor jobs), and Oracle SQL Developer (to read PL/SQL packages and to write Structured Query Language queries). Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Must be able to use basic computer applications including email, instant messaging, word processing, and spreadsheet applications. Alternate Requirements: Master?s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Business, Higher Education, or related field AND eight (8) years of experience in the IT industry performing business process analysis and software quality assurance testing, which includes five (5) years of experience in team or project leadership and four (4) years of experience using the following software: Ellucian?s Banner student information system, Automic?s UC4 Application Manager (to schedule and monitor jobs), and Oracle SQL Developer (to read PL/SQL packages and to write Structured Query Language queries). Essential Duties/Tasks: 20% Analyst and Testing Support for IT Projects Performs limited advanced business analyst and testing duties in support of strategic team projects and operations. Shares knowledge of Howdy portal and Banner functionality, existing processes, and testing processes / automation with other project teams or organizations. 20% Leadership Leads, motivates, develops, and coaches IT team leaders / managers, project managers, analysts, and testers that support the REGI area and / or other assigned teams. Models ethical, regulatory, and performance standards. Oversees and champions workplace engagement. Models and promotes the open sharing of information, dedication to the strategic mission, customer commitment, collaboration, and cooperation. 15% Project Management Oversees the use of established project management protocols to lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of large and / or multiple strategic projects. Directs the analysis of project needs, risks, and recommended solutions. Prioritizes, schedules, and directs the activities of a large or multiple strategic project teams. Directs the development of strategic project task plans, resource estimates, and schedules. Oversees the coordination of activities with the management of other campus units and vendors. Directs the selection, prioritization, and review of projects to achieve organizational strategy. 15% Operations Management Oversees, designs, and controls the processes for supporting the delivery of strategic information technology services. Monitors and analyzes metrics. Implements continuous improvement methodologies to include corrective actions, as needed. 15% Personnel Management Recruits, hires, and supervises the IT team leaders / managers, project managers, analysts, and testers that support the REGI area and / or other assigned teams. Enforces ethical, regulatory, and performance standards. Oversees and manages personnel issues. Provides opportunities and encourages staff to participate in professional development. 10% Documentation Oversees the approval and coordination of documentation provided to executive management, customers, stakeholders, and vendors. Uses documentation and project management tools to document supported functionality and project requirements, testing, and completion. 5% Professional Development Participates in training and professional development.
