We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team as a Scheduler. This vital role focuses on optimizing operational efficiency through effective analysis and scheduling. Additional responsibilities include assisting with paperwork and data entry for video and on-site interpreting services.
? *Key Responsibilities**
? **Customer Engagement:** Support processes related to customer acquisition and retention for both on-site and video remote interpreting services.
? **Daily Operations Management:** Facilitate seamless operations by communicating with clients, accurately entering job requests, coordinating interpreter schedules, and delivering exceptional customer service.
? **Interpreter Scheduling:** Manage the scheduling of interpreters (staff and independent contractors) for various workloads, including Video Relay Service (VRS), Video Remote Interpreting (VRI), and in-person assignments.
? **Database Management:** Maintain an updated database of qualified and trained interpreters for VRS, VRI, and Community Interpreting.
? **Team Collaboration:** Work alongside the center team to support various operational lines within the office environment.
? **Issue Resolution:** Promptly inform management of any scheduling challenges or unusual situations.
? **Administrative Support:** Provide data entry and organizational assistance to management as needed.
? **Interpreting Services:** Offer interpreting services for VRS, VRI, and in-person assignments when required.
? **Special Projects:** Assist with additional departmental functions and special projects as necessary.
? *Skills and Qualifications**
? Minimum of two years of experience in workforce scheduling.
? Proficiency with databases and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
? Competent in basic data entry tasks.
? Understanding of RID/NAD and related interpreting issues.
? Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
? Excellent attention to detail and capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
? Self-motivated, quick learner, and a strong team player.
? Experience as a sign language interpreter is a desirable asset.
? *Work Environment**
This position involves a mix of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods. Regular use of keyboards and viewing computer monitors, videophones, and cell phones is required. Some lifting of computers and other equipment may also be necessary, and occasional travel may be involved.
