The Social Media Virtual Assistant will contribute to the success of our Tourism Social Media Manager by managing and scheduling social media posts among other helpful tasks.
Key Responsibilities: ? Schedule social media posts across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn) using provided content. ? Ensure all posts are accurately scheduled and posted at optimal times. ? Monitor engagement on posts and notify the team of any significant interactions or inquiries. ? Assist in basic reporting on social media performance metrics. ? Collaborate with the team to ensure content aligns with our brand and marketing strategy. ? Stay updated with the latest social media best practices and tools. ? Draft copy for posts as needed.
Qualifications: ? Previous experience in social media management or a similar role. ? Knowledge and familiarity of Upstate New York including: Albany, Saratoga, Glens Falls, Lake George and/or the Adirondacks. ? Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools ? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ? Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. ? Creative mindset with the ability to contribute new ideas.
Preferred Skills:
? Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) for minor content adjustments.
? Experience with analytics tools to track social media performance
