Key Responsibilities
? Analyze market dynamics to identify potential acquisition opportunities.
? Collaborate on the formulation of comprehensive sales and marketing strategies.
? Monitor and refine sales and marketing approaches to ensure team accountability and outstanding outcomes.
? Oversee the development and implementation of actionable sales and marketing plans.
? Utilize diverse sales and marketing tools to optimize RevPAR and total revenue.
? Assist in corporate rate negotiations and the deployment of the sales team.
? Support recruitment and development efforts for the sales team.
? Aid in the establishment and management of marketing budgets.
? Conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
? Evaluate the effectiveness of the sales bonus program.
? Participate in sales calls and provide training to sales managers and team members.
? Optimize and prioritize sales department activities to ensure accountability to goals and quotas.
? Communicate key rate strategies and group booking initiatives to stakeholders.
? Assess the return on investment for promotional events, marketing expenditures, trade shows, and industry conferences.
Required Skills
? Extensive experience in sales and marketing within multi-unit, branded hotels.
? A minimum of 10 years in a Director of Sales & Marketing role with mid to large-sized hotels.
? Proficient in general sales techniques and strategies.
? Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
? Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
? Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
? Capacity to manage pressure and navigate multiple priorities simultaneously.
? Proven leadership abilities in overseeing diverse teams.
? Capability to propel both strategic initiatives and their execution.
? Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
? A college degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Qualifications
? Significant background in sales and marketing within a hotel environment.
? Minimum of 10 years? experience in a leadership role in the hospitality industry.
? Experience with third-party management preferable.
