The ideal candidate will have strong professional experience training/teaching adult learners, they will have experience developing remote, classroom and blended learning materials for professional employees. They will have experience using eLearning development software like Articulate, Camtasia, etc. and have knowledge and experience with delivering technical training on software... applications. As the Leave and Care Division (LCD) Technical Training Consultant, you will provide technical expertise on delivering training to Leave and Care technicians, specialists, managers, and supervisors. You'll develop and deliver specialized training on the technical systems and processes related to the work of the Leave and Care Division; ensuring that both new and existing staff are skilled in the use of the LCD CRM system, external facing portal and various software applications needed for their jobs. Additionally, you will help to instill in staff a passion for the work of the Leave and Care Division. This is a full-time/permanent position that is primarily telework, may require the ability to travel statewide, and may be required to attend in-office meetings or events as necessary.

Duties
You will provide remote and on-site procedural/technical training related to LCD programs, including state laws, Agency policies, operational procedures, and technical systems. Develop eLearning and classroom curricula, subject matter expertise in the job functions required of LCD technicians and specialists, and research program activities, conduct assessments as required.
Some of what you'll be doing:
? Coordinate with training team or subject matter experts to provide training to LCD staff, prepare training and orientation materials, and conduct presentations.
? Develop training materials to include handouts, job aids, models, multimedia visual aids, video tutorials and PowerPoint presentations.
? Working with subject matter experts, develop content consistent with adult learning theory principles suitable to build into eLearning modules.
? Coordinate with training team and subject matter experts to prepare classroom curricula, training, and materials consistent with state law and operational policies.
? Select and/or create e-learning training curriculum for the LCD.
? Research advancements in technologies and methods associated with e-learning, online training platforms, and curricula development.

Qualifications
Required:
A combination of education or relevant experience such as technical system database training equivalent to six (6) years which includes a minimum of two (2) years of training/teaching adult learners.
OR: One (1) year as a WA Paid Leave specialist.
OR: A certificate from an accredited institution of higher education in classroom curricula development, instructional design, eLearning design and development or closely related specialty, and two (2) years of experience training/ teaching adult learners.
OR: A Bachelor's degree in public education, adult education or closely related field and two (2) years of experience training/ teaching adult
OR: A Master?s degree in education, social science, public administration, or a related field AND one (1) year of experience training/teaching adult learners.
Education to Experience Equivalences:Associate Degree = 2 years | Bachelor Degree = 4 years | Masters or Higher = 5 years
Preferred:
? Additional years of experience developing remote, classroom and blended learning materials for professional employees.
? Experience using eLearning development software like Articulate, Camtasia, etc.
? Knowledge and experience with applying Adult Learning Theory and Social Learning Theory in educational environments.
? Knowledge and experience with delivering technical training on software applications.
Additional Requirement of Employment:
