The Panama City Port Authority is a vibrant, growing seaport located in Panama City, Florida. POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for processing payables. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required. This is a full-time position with working hours from 8:00 ? 5:00 Monday - Friday (1-hour lunch). Great benefits including but not limited to employer-paid medical insurance, employer-paid dental insurance, defined contribution retirement of 7%, and 2-4 weeks of vacation depending upon length of service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Properly match purchase order with vendor invoice and assign proper general ledger code ? Maintain accounts payable files ? Assist with various needs of the Accounting department ? Answering, screening and forwarding any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed ? Performs other related duties as assigned

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: ? Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills ? Prior Accounting experience is required ? Solid attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information ? Strong organizational skills ? Function effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented work environment

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: ? High school diploma required ? Associate?s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred ? Each year of college may substitute for professional experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.50 per hour
