Part-Time Bookkeeper (Atlanta Preferred)

Stratfield Consulting, a dynamic and growing consulting firm, is seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. This multifaceted role will encompass both bookkeeping responsibilities and billing management duties along with general human resources support. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in financial management tasks. This position reports to the Operations / HR Leader within Stratfield. Responsibilities:

1) Billing Management

? Execute the billing process for clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

? Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.

? Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes with clients in a professional manner.

? Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate billing of services.

2) HR Support

? Support new employee onboarding including ensuring that all required documentation is completed

? Support employee questions about Stratfield employment policies and benefits

? Load new employees into the HR/Payroll system

? Assist with calculating incentive compensation

3) Bookkeeping

? Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online).

? Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

? Prepare and process payroll in a timely manner.

? Review and approve employee expense reports

? Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

? Generate financial reports for management review.

4) Communication & Collaboration

? Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

? Collaborate with colleagues to streamline processes and improve financial performance.

Qualifications:

? Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.

? Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks Online or similar platforms.

? Understanding of accounting principles and practices.

? Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

? Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

? Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

? Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

? Impeccable written and verbal communication skills

? Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

? Strong computer/MS Office skills

? Prior experience in billing management or accounts receivable preferred.

? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
