Job Summary
The Accounting Department in the Lutgert College of Business (LCOB)
at Florida Gulf Coast University seeks applicants for an Accounting
Instructor I position to join our dynamic faculty. In this role,
you will teach both undergraduate and graduate-level courses (as
applicable), with a standard teaching load of four courses per
semester and potential opportunities for summer teaching. As an
Accounting Instructor I, you will engage in course and curriculum
development, participate in professional development activities
that align with the Instructional Practitioner classification under
LCOB faculty guidelines, contribute to university, college,
department, and community service efforts and, perform other duties
as assigned.

partners to improve instruction and enhance student learning
outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to
professional growth and active service to the institution.

Job Description
Required Qualifications
? Masters or terminal degree from an AACSB accredited business
school in Accounting or an MBA with a focus (18 graduate hours) in
accounting with significant industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
? Prior teaching experience in an AACSB accredited
institution.
? Relevant business experience.
? CPA or similar licensure.

Appointment will be based on a 9-month continuous multi-year
contract available August 2025.

Salary commensurate with education and experience.
