Position Summary
The Indiana University School of Social Work (IUSSW) invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position (full-time lecturer) on the IU Bloomington campus. This twelve-month appointment, beginning June 1, 2025, will have the responsibility for teaching 4 courses in the Fall Semester, 4 courses in the Spring Semester, and 1 course during summer, across the BSW and MSW curricula. This position also carries expectations related to service on School and University committees. The School's recently developed strategic plan expressly states the IUSSW's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion so all applicants should demonstrate a similar professional commitment to these areas. This appointment is renewable and contingent on student demand and available financial resources.

The Indiana University School of Social Work (IUSSW), founded in 1911, is a university-wide system school with CSWE-accredited MSW and BSW Programs since 1923 and 1975 respectively, reaffirmed in 2021. School headquarters are located at Indiana University - Indianapolis (IUI) with programs on eight IU campuses. The School is a founding member of the University's health sciences Interprofessional Practice and Education Center, creating opportunities for students and faculty. IU provides faculty opportunities for competitive funding to support timely and innovative research, such as the Racial Justice Research Fund for which five of our faculty received awards. The School's annual enrollment totals approximately 1,800 students across programs (PhD, MSW, BSW) and campuses. Basic Qualifications
Essential qualifications for the position include an MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program and two or more years of post-MSW practice experience. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate teaching experience at the BSW and/or MSW level and have practice experience in the areas of mental health, substance use disorders, and/or integrated behavioral health. Previous online or hybrid teaching experience is also preferred. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
