About the position

The Instructional Designer for Online Programs at New York University is responsible for collaborating with instructors and educational technologists to design and develop high-quality online courses for the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. This role emphasizes the application of evidence-based pedagogy and effective project management practices to ensure that courses meet their educational objectives and provide an excellent student experience.

Responsibilities
? Collaborate with instructors to design and develop online courses for credit and non-credit programs.

? Ensure high-quality course materials are created that fulfill educational objectives.

? Apply evidence-based pedagogy in course design and development.

? Utilize educational technology tools and systems effectively.

? Implement project management practices to oversee course development processes.

Requirements
? Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or Technology.

? 3+ years of ed-tech work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 1+ years with a Master's Degree.

? Demonstrated project management experience.

? Understanding of educational pedagogy, particularly for online teaching and learning.

? Ability to analyze and solve problems with innovative solutions.

Nice-to-haves
? Master's Degree related to learning, instructional design, or technology.

? 2+ years of experience with technology-enhanced courses and programs.

? Familiarity with User Experience design trends and best practices.

? Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools.

? Experience working with Learning Management Systems and instructional modules/media.

Benefits
