Description

The Department of Economics at Ball State University invites
applicants for a full-time tenure-track professor position
beginning August 2025.

The successful candidate will be expected to engage in excellent
scholarship and teaching and contribute to the university and the
profession.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD in economics or a closely related field from an accredited
college or university. ( ABD near completion at the time of
application will be considered, but the degree must be completed by
the date of appointment.)

A commitment to Ball State University?s Enduring Values, including
a commitment to societal impact and a genuine interest in business
and markets as a force for good.

Authorization to work in the US

Employer will consider sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Research: The successful candidate must show evidence of an active
research agenda within Applied Econometrics or Applied
Microeconomics at the Assistant level or at the advanced Assistant
level.

Teaching: Exhibit exceptional teaching skills in university-level
economics courses for at least one semester (four months). Ability
to inspire students? interest in economics and econometrics while
helping them develop a solid understanding of the concepts and
their practical applications.
