About the position

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) is seeking an energetic and responsible intern to support the Professional Learning and Engagement team within the Division of College and Career Advising. This position is crucial as THECB serves as the state's definitive source for college and career planning, developing and providing digital tools and resources for educators, students, and families. The intern will work on various projects related to Texas OnCourse, My Texas Future, Apply Texas, and Financial Aid professional learning. The role requires a commitment of up to 20 hours per week, with a hybrid telecommuting schedule that mandates in-office attendance at least two days per week. The intern will report directly to the Director of Professional Learning and Engagement and collaborate with a Senior Network Coordinator, Professional Learning Coordinator, and a Network Marketing Coordinator. The intern's responsibilities will include supporting learning events by developing materials, checking content, and creating presentations for professional learning sessions aimed at educators. The intern will also track and award continuing education credits for these sessions, maintain and update CRM contacts using Hubspot, and provide technical support for learning events via Zoom and Teams. Additionally, the intern will coordinate data by summarizing educator feedback and preparing summary reports, perform clerical duties, and assist with document organization and maintenance. The role requires a proactive approach to support both active and incoming projects, as well as outreach efforts, ensuring that all tasks align with team and division initiatives.

Responsibilities
? Support learning events by developing materials and creating presentations for professional learning sessions.

? Track and award continuing education credits for learning sessions and events.

? Maintain and update CRM contacts using Hubspot for communication with K-12 and higher education stakeholders.

? Provide technical support for learning events using Zoom and Teams, including organizing and scheduling events.

? Summarize educator feedback and provide summary reports based on collected data.

? Perform clerical duties such as taking notes, maintaining files, and organizing documents as needed.

? Collaborate with division staff and external partners to meet project deadlines.

? Monitor progress and tracking systems using Smartsheets, Excel, and other technical tools.

Requirements
? Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited university/college program as a sophomore or higher.

? Knowledge of college and career readiness milestones, including career exploration and financial aid processes.

? Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
,
? Strong oral and written communication skills.
,
? Ability to work independently without supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

? Attention to detail and ability to analyze and present data appropriately.

Nice-to-haves
? Currently enrolled as a junior or higher in an accredited university/college program.

? Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in an office or professional setting.

? Experience with Zoom, Teams, Qualtrics, and project management tools like Smartsheet, Trello, and Asana.
