Remote Special Education Teacher Position

Job Summary:
? Fully Remote
? 2024-2025 Academic Year
? 1099 Contract Position
? Working with students with a variety of disabilities
? Details about the caseload will be provided during the interview

Primary Duties:
? Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) customized for students with special needs, in partnership with parents, school administrators, and other relevant professionals.
? Utilize a variety of assessment techniques to monitor student progress and adapt instructional methods as needed.
? Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that motivates student participation and engagement.
? Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to facilitate effective inclusion and necessary accommodations in mainstream settings.
? Employ diverse teaching strategies and resources to address a range of learning styles and needs.
? Document and track students? progress, behavior, and accomplishments while keeping thorough records and reports.
? Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, involving them in their child?s educational journey.
? Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and other school-related activities as required.

Requirements: ? Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Education/Special Education ? Active Special Education Teaching License in Ohio ? Experience working with special needs students is preferred ? A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on the latest research and best practices in special education ? Familiarity with online learning environments is a plus
