Key Responsibilities
? Curriculum Design & Planning: Craft engaging course content and develop instructional materials tailored for older adults.
? Class Delivery: Conduct high-quality classes for both individuals and groups, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants.
? Promote Activities: Create appealing class descriptions and marketing materials to effectively engage the community.
? Event Support: Travel to various locations for training sessions, meetings, and community events, possibly operating a 15-passenger van.
? Community Engagement: Participate in local festivals and events, providing a positive influence and presence within the community.
Required Skills
? Technology Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of smartphones, tablets, computers, and common software applications.
? Effective Communication: Strong ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
? Empathy & Patience: A natural connection to foster understanding and support as learners progress at their own pace.
? Adaptability: Capability to adjust teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles.
? Tech Troubleshooting: Skilled in diagnosing and resolving common technology-related issues.
? Teaching Tools: Familiarity with online teaching platforms such as Zoom or Skype is advantageous.
Qualifications
? Education: High school diploma or GED.
? Experience: A minimum of two years in teaching or customer service roles.
? Certifications: CPR/AED certification (to be obtained within 60 days of hire, with costs covered by the organization).
? Driver?s License: Must possess and maintain a valid driver?s license.
