The Data Coach focuses on the disaggregation of student achievement data generated from formative and summative assessments to impact instruction; trains district wide personnel to lead Data Teams in the different types of data to make timely and appropriate decisions about curriculum, assessment and instruction; keep abreast of all new development in areas of data analysis and disseminate current information to all teachers and administrators; and provide ongoing professional development for teachers and administrators in the areas of data collection and analysis.

? Analyze school data and identify trends; integrate and triangulate multiple measures of learning and provides PD to staff on results
? Examine growth targets based on comparative data sets and help create growth targets based on comparative data sets and provides PD to staff on results.
? Address data concerns and needs of staff with administrative team
? Construct and implement data-driven education plans with focus on all students obtaining grade level, state standards through training and coaching staff
? Integrate assessment data into instructional and programmatic decision making
? Cultivate a data-driven culture within the school and parent community.
? Build assessment literacy district-wide and provides PD to staff to increase their assessment literacy.
? Coach staff in how to connect assessment results to personalized instruction/remediation
? Develop multi-year professional development plan
? Establish and hone data-to-instruction framework
? Identify behaviors and practices to sustain and improve academic outcomes of all students
? Contribute substantially to school events and projects, and assumes a leadership role with colleagues
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory duties.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: ? Bachelor?s degree AND ? Five (5) years of experience as a classroom teacher OR ? Equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates and Licenses: Highly Qualified Michigan Teaching License
Residency Requirement: Must be a Michigan resident.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: ? Master?s degree ? Excellent problem-solving skills ? Extensive knowledge of assessment, research, statistics, and evaluation methods. ? Knowledge of the process of school improvement ? Understanding of collaboration and consultation models ? Ability to interpret tests results and provide interpretation for board, school, teachers and families. ? Ability to analyze all types of data used by the school such as; MSTEP, NWEA, SAT and other assessment used ? Organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities ? Passionate about student engagement and success ? Collaborative/Team Player ? Ability to quickly learn new technology
