We are currently seeking to develop a hiring pool of highly qualified, certified secondary (6-12) social studies teachers that would provide online instruction and feedback to students who attend our partner schools.

PURPOSE:
An online expert is a Michigan certified social studies RX teacher who grades student work, provides high quality feedback on student work, designs engaging learning opportunities for students, and collaborates with other staff members to support student achievement. This position is a remote position that allows you the flexibility to work at home on your schedule.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Michigan Secondary Teaching Certification with the Social Studies RX endorsement.
LOCATION: 100% Remote
Prefer Michigan home based candidates due to Michigan Teaching Certification requirement
PAY$18.75 PER HOURPART-TIME HOURS, FLEXIBLE
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILL:
? Understanding of multidisciplinary project-based learning
? Organized, reflective, participatory, and punctual
? Understanding of data-driven decision making to plan and improve instructional practices
? Experience with online Learning Management System
? Understanding and use of Professional Learning Community interactions
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Experts will be highly qualified in their endorsement area, be proficient in the use of technology, and work collaboratively with colleagues to meet the needs of our school and our students.
KEY TASKS
? Experts must be highly qualified under NCLB and have state secondary teacher certification.
? Experts create engaging community-based projects that align to state and national standards.
? Experts work collaboratively and in teams.
? Experts support and encourage students to create projects based on personal interest.
? Experts work collaboratively with mentors and team leaders to support student achievement.
ACTIONS:
? Update, develop, and participate in learning communities.
? Follow all reporting requirements.
? Evaluate learning artifacts that display multiple forms of expression.
