Bank Examiner/Risk Specialist

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is seeking a versatile Safety and Soundness Bank Examiner/Risk Specialist or Consumer Compliance Bank Examiner/Risk Specialist to provide supervisory oversight and participate in examinations for banks and bank holding companies in the Eleventh District. This role involves conducting financial and risk management analysis, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to assess risk exposure and quality of risk management practices.
Responsibilities
? Build and maintain strong relationships with other examiners, risk specialists, and business lines in a team environment.

? Lead or participate in supervisory events of financial institutions, including inspection/examination activities that assess capital, asset quality, credit risk, and earnings.

? Analyze bank policies, procedures, and controls related to safety and soundness examinations and inspections.

? Develop work papers to document analysis and support conclusions.

? Collaborate with examiners, risk specialists, and regulatory agencies to recommend regulatory assessments.

? Maintain expertise in risk discipline and stay current on banking issues.
,
? Gather information and resolve issues during supervisory activities.
,
? Conduct meetings with institution management and board of directors.
,
? Compile, analyze, write, and proofread supervisory reports for distribution to relevant parties.

? Participate in ongoing training to improve knowledge related to the banking industry.
Requirements
? Bachelor's or Master's degree with emphasis in business, accounting, finance, economics, or equivalent work experience.

? Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in banking or bank regulatory experience preferred.

? Examiner commissioning from a regulatory agency and/or related professional certifications desirable.
,
? Ability to interpret and apply pertinent laws, regulations, and policies.

? Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

? Capacity to identify and pursue multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver sound results.
