Job Description The Loan Processing Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless loan operations and delivering "best-in-class" customer service. This individual will act as the primary contact for day-to-day customer inquiries and assist in the loan underwriting process by verifying documentation and maintaining compliance standards. The role demands a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to support efficient loan processing and enhance customer satisfaction.
In this role, the ideal candidate will:
? Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, delivering exceptional support with a professional demeanor.
? Assist in the loan underwriting process by facilitating the intake of applications and verifying required documentation.
? Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales and Sales Support, to streamline operations and maintain application timelines.
? Maintain accurate loan files and ensure all activities comply with regulatory standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
? Provide outstanding customer service, promptly addressing questions and concerns.
? Facilitate communication between clients and internal departments to ensure smooth loan processing.
? Verify and organize essential documentation, including credit reports and financial statements.
? Schedule loan closings and inspections as needed.
? Create and maintain loan files using tools like Synthesis and SharePoint.
? Conduct compliance-related searches, such as UCC, ITS, and PACER searches, and maintain accurate records.
? Support Area Managers with loan closing and execution of loan documents.
? Assist in preparing and reviewing documentation to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
Required Experience/Skills
? Minimum of 3+ years in a customer relations or similar role, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
? Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
? Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
? Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office 365).
? A proactive problem-solver with a team-player attitude.
? Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Nice-to-Haves
? Experience in loan operations or financial services.
? Familiarity with compliance requirements and loan underwriting processes.
? Working knowledge of Synthesis or SharePoint.
? Interest or passion for financial services and lending operations.
Education
? Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
