RCM Verification Specialist

The Verifications Specialist serves as a subject matter expert on all insurance verifications for their assigned region on the RCM Verifications team. The primary duties of the position include completing insurance verifications requests, performing audits for vendors and partnering with practices for additional verification assistance or inquiries, as needed.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
? Knowledgeable in all aspects of insurance verification for assigned region, such as payer mix and fee schedules.
? Performs a minimum of 20 insurance verification requests daily with at least 96% accuracy.
? Trains on all subjects of the RCM Verification Training Manual and follows the manual consistently.
? Performs weekly audits for vendor partners.
? Assists with educating new and existing employees about RCM department standards, verification workflow, and performance expectations.
? Interacts with partner practices and vendors to identify areas of opportunity and readily offer solutions.
? Maintains confidentiality with a strict adherence to all HIPPA policies.
? Performs additional duties as assigned by manager or director.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES:
? Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-paced environment with the potential of frequent interruptions
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
? High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
? 1+ years experience in a medical and/or dental environment preferred
? A minimum of 1 years experience in customer service required. Previous experience in a medical and/or dental environment preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: ? While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods. Occasional lifting and bending to carry boxes and supplies, up to 25 pounds, may be required.
