What You?ll Be Doing:
The Financial Cost Analyst will oversee the entire supply chain process, focusing on vendor relationships, procurement, cost analysis and improvements and inventory management. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of quality ingredients, supplies, and services while negotiating favorable contracts and aligning processes with company goals. Collaboration with various internal teams, such as operations and finance, will be essential to drive efficiency and innovation.
Essential Job Requirements & Functions:
Weekly COGS Review:
? Conduct weekly reviews of COGS and implement cost improvements.
? Analyze Period End COGS and all expense and Inventory Posting for monthly P&L.
CTUIT Inventory System Management:
? Own the CTUIT inventory system, managing pricing, new items, and purchase order (PO) reviews.
? Manage Month end Inventory Process and ensure accurate inventory value and GL posting monthly.
Supplier Engagement:
? Cultivate and maintain strong supplier relationships, fostering collaboration and reliability.
? Source Vendors in new markets or for cost savings with in company standards.
Bulk Purchase and Distribution Management:
? Manage bulk purchases and distribution for proprietary food items and merchandise, including juices, bars, waters, and merchandise.
Contract Negotiation:
? Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms and contracts, aligning with company objectives.
Vendor Relationships:
? Develop and maintain relationships with vendors for COGS and service contracts, securing competitive pricing and sourcing vendors for new regions.
Sourcing and Procurement:
? Source and purchase high-quality ingredients, supplies, and equipment for the restaurant.
? Monitor inventory levels, manage stock, and minimize waste while optimizing storage space.
Collaboration with Operations Team:
? Work closely with the operations team to ensure ingredient quality and consistency.
Collaboration with Finance Team:
? Collaborate with finance to manage purchasing budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
? Back-up on various finance duties such as journal entries, payables and reconciliations
Market Trends and Product Innovation:
? Stay informed about market trends and industry developments to drive innovation and cost efficiency.
Food Safety and Compliance:
? Ensure all purchasing activities comply with food safety regulations and health standards.
Shipping Account Management:
? Oversee the company shipping account and apply it to vendors where applicable.
Out-of-Stock (OOS) Monitoring:
? Monitor stock levels and communicate OOS situations to relevant teams.
National Rebate and Service Programs:
? Negotiate and manage national rebate programs and periodically review company services and utilities for cost-efficiency.
Menu and Online Platform Management:
? Oversee company menus on platforms like Toast, delivery systems, and print physical menus.
? Maintain company Amazon seller and online store accounts.
? Understand the FDA menu labeling rules and ensure compliance in all markets.
Permits and Licensing:
? Ensure all company permits and licenses are current and compliant.
Supplier Performance Monitoring:
? Implement monitoring systems to assess supplier performance and adherence to quality standards.
Risk Management:
? Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Business Reviews with Manufacturers:
? Conduct regular business reviews with manufacturers to monitor progress, identify issues, and explore cost-saving opportunities.
Onboarding and Managing New Manufacturers:
? Identify, vet, and manage relationships with new manufacturers to ensure a consistent supply.
Market Insights and Strategy:
? Proactively monitor market trends and commodity insights to develop both short- and long-term ordering strategies.
Other Duties:
? Perform other duties as assigned to support the supply chain and procurement functions.
Who You Are:
? You?ve got 2+ years of experience in finance, cost analysis, or supply chain management, preferably in a food or beverage setting.
? Excel is your playground. You can whip up complex formulas, pivot tables, and visualizations without breaking a sweat.
? You?ve got strong communication skills and are just as comfortable writing an email as you are leading a video call with a supplier.
? You?re detail-oriented and analytical but can see the big picture when making recommendations.
? You?re passionate about healthy living, organics, and sustainability?values that align with our brand ethos.
? You understand food safety regulations and compliance standards.
Work Conditions and Schedule:
We?re pretty chill when it comes to schedules. This role is mostly remote, but we?d love for you to live near one of our locations to drop in from time to time and get a taste (literally!) of what we?re all about. You?ll need to be available during core work hours (Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM), but outside of that, your time is yours to manage. Take a midday hike, hit a yoga class, or work from your favorite caf?.
