About This Position
The AP Specialist will be responsible for the company?s accounts payable process and ensure AP is running efficiently. The AP Specialist will be the primary contact for vendor management and relationships. This position will report directly to the AP manager and work closely with Accounting and Treasury. The AP Specialist will support systems, processes, and initiatives in close collaboration with both the Accounting and treasury departments.
Overview of Department
The Treasury team is responsible for effectuating payments, managing bank accounts, forecasting and managing short term liquidity, and interfacing with financing parties for the administration of existing financings. Treasury sits within the broader Capital Markets group, which has a mandate to plan, execute, and maintain the capital structure of the operating business. The treasury team works closely with the rest of the Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, and Accounting functions.
Responsibilities and Duties
? Lead daily payment processing using a variety of platforms (to include coding to appropriate GL and routing invoices)
? Lead vendor management for the company, including issuing and filing 1099s
? Assist managing staff augmentation consultants
? Assist with cash reconciliations and marking invoices as paid
? Review coding for and process expense reports
? Perform monthly credit card reconciliation
? Draft and implement controls and procedures to promote a culture of prudent risk and controls
? Ensure SLA (Service Level Agreements) are met
? Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills ? Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fields ? 1 - 4 years of relevant work experience in Treasury, AP, Finance, or related roles ? Understanding of common payment types and banking products ? Highly proficient in Excel, G-Suite, Slack, and other collaboration tools ? High attention to detail and standards for work product ? Has or is willing to create ID.me account (for IRS TIN Matching) ? Knowledge of 1099s and tax reporting ? Knowledge of vendor master best practices ? Experience with expense reports or T&E policies ? Intellectual curiosity and desire to understand Intersect?s business from a financial perspective, from the projects to the company as a whole ? Highly organized, problem-solver mentality ? Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively ? CPRS (Certified Payment Reporting Specialist) or APM (Accredited Payables Manager) certifications a plus ? Renewables, utility, construction, or real estate development experience a plus ? Experience managing consultants a plus ? Experience working on remote / distributed teams a plus ? Experience with structured financings a plus ? Payables software experience a plus ? ? Salary: $85,000 - $90,000USD base salary with 20% annual target bonus
