Medical Insurance Verification Specialist

? *Job Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ob/gyn medical terminology, and insurance verification processes. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate insurance coverage for patients. ? *Responsibilities:**

• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits

• Communicate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations and verify claims

• Update patient records with insurance information

• Provide patients with costs of procedures, OB contracts

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality

• Collaborate with medical billing team to resolve any insurance-related issues

• Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical records to accurately verify insurance information

• Work closely with the medical staff to coordinate insurance verification for GYN procedures
? *Qualifications:**

• Previous experience in insurance verification in related field

• Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, and HIPAA regulations

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with insurance companies and patients

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical office environment

• Familiarity with medical office procedures and insurance verification software is a plus
