SoFi is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to establish and lead our first Enterprise Architecture practice. This role presents a unique opportunity to build an EA practice from the ground up, making it both challenging and rewarding. As a next-generation financial services company, we are at the forefront of transforming the way people think about personal finance, and this position will play a crucial role in aligning our technology and business processes with our corporate strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of business acumen and technical expertise, leveraging holistic thinking to operationalize methodologies that integrate technology, business processes, and financial metrics. The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for examining all business processes and technology in a comprehensive manner, instantiating the EA practice, establishing standards, and coaching others in governance and roadmap development. This role will require hands-on involvement, especially in the initial stages of the program buildout, while also focusing on enterprise-scope architecture and strategy. High-level solution architecture for significant projects may also be part of the responsibilities. In this role, you will be expected to collaborate with various teams to ensure that the architecture aligns with business goals and objectives. You will need to demonstrate diplomacy and persuasion skills when orchestrating changes to the enterprise architecture, ensuring that all stakeholders are on board with the proposed changes. Your expertise will help shape the future of our technology landscape, making a direct impact on our members' financial journeys.
Responsibilities
? Establish and lead the Enterprise Architecture practice from the ground up.

? Examine all business processes and technology in a holistic manner.

? Instantiate the EA practice, including building and curating the enterprise continuum.

? Establish standards and coach others in governance and roadmap development.

? Collaborate with various teams to align technology with business goals and objectives.

? Engage in high-level solution architecture for significant projects as needed.

? Demonstrate diplomacy and persuasion when orchestrating changes to enterprise architecture.
Requirements
? 10+ years of broad experience across architecture domains: business, applications, data, and technology.
,
? Working knowledge of common corporate business processes (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Hire to Retire, etc.).
,
? Familiarity with business alignment methodologies such as cascading goals or OKR systems.
,
? Proficiency in standard financial metrics such as ROI, EVA, NPV, etc.
,
? Experience with data integration patterns such as enterprise service buses and microservices.
,
? Familiarity with REST APIs and their data formats (XML and JSON).
,
? Experience with master data management solutions and governance around SaaS application management.
,
? Enterprise-level application portfolio management and roadmapping experience.
,
? Real-world experience building scalable, globally-shared solutions.

? Knowledge of data warehousing and big data (EDW/data lakes ETL, real-time streaming data).
,
? Ability to craft, iterate, and syndicate roadmaps for key business platforms.
,
? Exposure to common data center building blocks of compute/network/storage.
,
? Awareness of IaaS capabilities, ideally with AWS.
,
? Understanding of CICD-driven infrastructure as code (IAC) and immutable server patterns.
,
? Deep understanding of loosely-coupled, service-oriented-architecture (SOA) design patterns.

? Demonstrable knowledge of common frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, ISO, ITIL, Agile/Scrum/SaFE.
Nice-to-haves
? Current TOGAF certification is a plus.
