JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB GOAL:
To manage the school funds in a fair and equitable manner through accurate accountability and amicable relationships with all stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS: ? High School Diploma or equivalent supplemented by business courses in bookkeeping or accounting. ? Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in bookkeeping or responsible account clerk work experience. ? Comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge and ability to perform computer data entry, word processing and text management activities on terminals and/or microcomputers as required. Knowledge of the principles and practices of bookkeeping and the ability to apply this knowledge to work situations. Knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations controlling budgetary, internal record keeping activities and contract procedures. Ability to prepare complete and accurate accounting reports and statements. Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data and to prepare reports from such records. Ability to operate typewriter and other standard office machines. Ability to type at a prescribed rate of speed. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Receive and receipt all monies deposited with the school. ? Process all purchase orders in compliance with District policy. ? Maintain all accounting records in compliance with District policy. ? Assist staff to utilize funds and deposit funds in compliance with District policy. ? Assist Principal/Director in the preparation of the annual budget for supplies and equipment. ? Requisition supplies and equipment as requested by Principal/Director and/or staff. ? Monitor all budget funds and grant monies assigned to the school. ? Receive all supplies and equipment and distribute to appropriate staff members. ? Maintain professional relationships with all personnel. ? Develop and submit reports as required. ? Attend workshops for updating software information and other professional growth needs. ? Prepare materials for auditors and cooperate fully with audit needs. ? Keep the Principal/Director well informed on all aspects of fund production and expenditures. ? Pay all bills in a timely manner. ? Communicate with vendors as needed. ? Demonstrate initiative in the performance of assigned responsibilities. ? Provide for a safe and secure workplace. ? Model and maintain high ethical standards. ? Maintain confidentiality regarding school matters. ? Maintain positive relationships with staff and vendors. ? Participate in workshops and training sessions as required. ? Communicate effectively with staff and vendors. ? Respond to inquiries and concerns in a timely manner. ? Prepare all required reports and maintain all appropriate records. ? Follow all School Board policies, rules and regulations. ? Exhibit interpersonal skills to work as an effective team member. ? Demonstrate support for the School District and its goals and priorities. ? Perform other incidental tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District?s approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the District.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board?s policy on evaluation of personnel.
