About the role.

The National Auto Physical Damage Manager plays a pivotal role in the Claims Department, overseeing the operation, efficiency, and accuracy of all facets of PURE?s national Auto Physical Damage discipline. Your contribution will be instrumental in our operations, and the role will be based in Charleston, SC, Scottsdale, AZ, or remotely in the Eastern or Central Zones.

What you will do.

Lead a team of Auto Damage Desk Appraisers to ensure exceptional member service and meet business objectives.

Manage auto-related vendors and business partnerships for optimal performance.

Analyze performance metrics and implement action plans to improve outcomes.

Conduct virtual and physical re-inspections to ensure estimate accuracy and adherence to standards.

Assist with continuous improvement and development of best practices for internal staff and external partners.

Train internal staff and external vendors.

Provide expert advice on vehicle repair and claim settlement matters.

Handle appraisal and re-inspection requests with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Assist with Auto Physical Damage subrogation.

Respond to catastrophe events, including field deployment as needed.

Monitor for possible fraudulent activities and assist with SIU investigations.

Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

What we're looking for.

10+ years of auto physical damage appraiser experience

5+ years of auto damage claim handling experience

Experience within the high-net-worth insurance industry.

Strong Microsoft Office competency

Advanced Excel proficiency and data analytics skills for analysis and visualization

Strong competency with Personal Auto policy coverage

Extensive Auto Physical Damage claim background, especially with specialty, collector, and exotic vehicles.

Thorough understanding of automobile terminology, construction, and repair

Superior customer service skill set

A bachelor?s degree is preferred

I-Car Platinum Individual

ASE B-6 Certification for ?Damage Analysis & Estimating? (or willingness to pursue)

Maintenance of state adjuster licenses, auto appraiser licenses, and CE credits as required by state regulations throughout the United States.

Strong relationship management and customer service skills, with excellent interpersonal, listening, organizational, written, and oral communication abilities

Ability to work independently in a rapidly growing environment and adapt to change quickly

Demonstrates integrity, team spirit, enthusiasm, and establishes trust

Agile learner who can quickly absorb and apply information to business situations

Willingness to travel as needed for meetings, training, catastrophe duty, and role-related activities

You have prior experience in a fast-paced environment where multitasking and organizational skills were required.

You are highly detailed and organized, capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and assuring consistently high levels of accuracy.

You demonstrate integrity, exhibit team spirit and enthusiasm, and establish trust and credibility.

The base salary for this role can range from $100k-$120k, based on a full-time work schedule. An individual?s ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
