Department: ICE | CASL CA Dermatology Oncology Clinic Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: Works with patients, families, and providers of care to implement individual health plans, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Monitors patients' vital signs, provides routine medical care, and maintains updated records of patient's medical history and physical condition. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED PLUS Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program, Valid LPN License; One (1) Year of Health Care Experience Additional Information: Responsibilities: Assist physicians and registered nurses with providing basic, direct patient assessment. Performs intake exams and health screenings, monitors vital signs, collects various swabs and specimens, and administers diagnostic tests. Develop, communicate, and implement patient treatment plans by evaluating patient well-being, reporting any needs to medical staff, and explaining treatments and procedures. Provides a high standard of care and customer service to patients and families. Ensures comfort and well-being of patients by performing care activities, such as feeding patients, changing dressings and bandages of wounds, and transporting patients from wheelchairs, beds, and gurneys. Maintains organized medical records and fulfills records requests. Participate in ad hoc research projects to improve performance management and patient care.
