About the position

The Underwriter Associate position within the Underwriting Solutions Team at Hiscox is a full-time role focused on analyzing, pricing, quoting, and negotiating insurance policies. Responsibilities
? Underwrite, analyze, price, and negotiate renewal accounts according to company strategy and guidelines.

? Develop and maintain relationships with regional brokers and other Hiscox Underwriters.

? Achieve production targets and underwrite business profitably in a high-volume environment.

? Respond to broker inquiries.

Requirements
? Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

? Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external personnel.

? Desire to learn and increase product knowledge and underwriting skills.

? Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

? Entry-level position requiring under 1 year of experience.

? Experience underwriting small business (Commercial insurance) accounts in a volume environment.
