Remote - Must be local to Irvine, CA

Responsibilities ? We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced, Staff Accountant Contractor to support our finance and accounting team on a contractual basis, approx. 30-40 hours per week. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Staff Accountant Contractor will play a key role in maintaining day to day activity, cost accounting, and supporting month end close activities. ? Key Responsibilities: ? Finance & Accounting:

Requirements: ? Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ? Minimum of 5 years experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role. ? Proficiency in financial software (ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel. ? Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. ? Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis. ? Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities. ? Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: ? Experience in Medical Devices or Manufacturing

? Position reports to the Controller and will support both the Controller and Director of Finance for the organization.
? Cost accounting, familiarity with standard cost systems, BOM set up and variance analysis.
? Fixed Asset management.
? Perform monthly account reconciliations.
? Prepare monthly journal entries.
? Support day-to-day operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable and production accounting.
? Support year-end financial audit; provide documents and support to external auditors as requested.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour
