About the position

The Epic Cadence Prelude Analyst role at Optum involves managing EHR Services implementation and operation projects, focusing on patient access configuration changes and ensuring successful project execution. The analyst will work remotely, collaborating with healthcare technology leaders and providing support during go-lives and system upgrades. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to mentor team members while maintaining high standards in healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities
? Work on Patient Access related configuration changes and builds, ensuring build quality and timeline adherence.

? Translate user requirements into functional and technical design specifications and review with clients for accuracy.
,
? Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert to local and client-based team members.
,
? Lead small to medium complexity Epic software upgrade initiatives or enhancements to workflows, including design, build, and test phases.
,
? Participate in design and validation sessions, ensuring appropriate documentation, follow-up, and issue escalation occurs.
,
? Function as a liaison between Operations, IT, and Third-Party Systems.
,
? Provide support for application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on-call coverage as required.
,
? Provide on-site support during go-lives and system upgrades.
,
? Obtain and maintain in-depth knowledge of software functionality and operational workflows.
,
? Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software.
,
? Work with trainers to develop and maintain application-specific training curriculum and materials.
,
? Adhere to organization standards for system configuration and change control.
,
? Develop solid relationships with end user communities, customers, and business partners.
,
? Attend, participate in, and contribute to meetings throughout the facility.

Requirements
? Active/current Epic certification in Cadence and 2+ years Epic Experience or a minimum of 5+ years direct client experience.
,
? 3+ years of healthcare experience.
,
? 2+ years of direct client healthcare domain knowledge such as patient flow, scheduling, registration, Real Time Eligibility, Insurance Verification, etc.
,
? 2+ years of Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in relevant applications.
,
? Ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice-to-haves
? Active/current Epic certification in Prelude, Grand Central, Eligibility OR Referrals.
,
? Completed Epic CEE (Continued Epic Education) to maintain certifications, proficiencies, and badges.
,
? 2+ years of demonstrated ability and history of team management (informal or formal), cross-team communication and leadership skills.
,
? Proficiency with MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
