Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a proficient Real Estate Staff Accountant to become an integral part of our finance team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering precise financial reporting for our varied portfolio of multifamily properties. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial prosperity of a rapidly growing real estate organization.

Key Responsibilities
? Prepare and scrutinize financial statements for designated properties, ensuring precision and compliance with accounting standards.
? Collaborate with property management teams to formulate and manage property budgets while providing variance analysis and improvement suggestions.
? Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and maintain meticulous accounting records.
? Review and evaluate property expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
? Assist with the facilitation of external audits and tax preparation by offering required documentation and support.
? Guarantee compliance with pertinent accounting regulations and company policies.
? Work alongside cross-functional teams, including property management and finance, to resolve accounting-related queries and deliver financial insights.

Required Skills
? Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
? Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
? Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance.
? CPA or relevant professional certification is advantageous.
? 1-3 years of experience in property accounting within the real estate sector or a background as an Audit Associate in a CPA firm.
