POSITION SUMMARY :

The Diversity, Equity (DEI) and Inclusion Program Manager is an integral member of CareFirst?s Diversity Equity & Inclusion team. The position is responsible for partnering closely with the Director, DEI to manage the execution of DEI strategy and programs to drive an inclusive and equitable culture. The DEI Manager serves as a subject matter expert and liaison to the organization in developing strategic plans to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent by implementing initiatives to achieve the desired future state. This includes conducting benchmark studies and research to identify best-in-class approaches to culture, DEI initiatives, and identifying potential new programs for the organization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
? Drive DEI goal attainment through program management and defined project plans; manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program / process rollout and ongoing support
? Launch and execute company-wide DEI programming and initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholders across the company
? Implement new ERG governance; review, analyze, and update ERG programming, policies, and procedures; develop and own key progress indicators; work with ERG leaders to create and execute strategies to achieve goals and outcomes
? Serve as a DEI subject matter expert by providing perspectives, insights, and knowledge
? Identify external DEI trends, advise, and implement best practices in the DEI area.
? Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and help cultivate new partnerships, specifically as they relate to supporting and recruiting historically underrepresented populations.
? Work cross-functionally to build an internal network of DEI champions across the organization to lead company-wide initiatives.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :
? Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university.
? 4-5 years of HR, or program management experience, with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.
? Experience leading or working closely with employee resource groups.
? Cross-cultural skills and awareness related to individuals from broad backgrounds such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, individuals with disabilities, among others.
? Experience leading programs from idea concept to pilot, to execution and evaluation establishing program requirements, using data and metrics.
? Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written, visual, and verbal).
? Must be a creative thinker who is a strong team player.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education Level : Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Licenses / Certifications Preferred :

Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI.

Experience : 8 years project management or program management experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

Master's Degree

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
? Ability to synthesize large complex data and analysis into clear, concise, executive level presentations that allow for rapid grasp of business problem or opportunity and understanding of feasible solutions.
? Effective understanding of how functions integrate within the division and the strategic concept behind the corporate goals.
? Ability to identify and shepherd strategic opportunities that have a significant impact on the organization.
? Ability to establish working relationships and influence / persuade across all levels of leadership including C-Suite.
? Knowledge and discipline of Process Improvement
? Use of Microsoft Applications
? Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
