Senior California Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist | Remote
Posted 2025-03-15Our client, an A-rated Insurance Carrier, is growing their California Workers Compensation Department and is in search of a Remote Senior Workers Compensation Claims Specialist. This position involves managing complex, litigated California Workers Compensation Lost Time claims from start to finish. The ideal candidate should have a robust understanding of California Workers Compensation Law and the capability to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities: ? Independently manage complex California Workers' Compensation claims with minimal oversight. ? Handle a caseload ranging between 100 - 115 lost time and litigated California Workers' Compensation claims. ? Identify and investigate coverage, compensability, damage, and reserve adequacy on assigned claims. ? Communicate with policyholders, agents, claimants, attorneys, and medical providers, as needed. ? Negotiate settlements effectively with injured workers and their attorneys. ? Provide strategic direction to legal counsel and oversee the litigation process.
Qualifications: ? A minimum of 5+ years of experience in California Workers' Compensation claims handling. ? Comprehensive knowledge of California Workers' Compensation Law. ? Prefer candidate to have Workers' Compensation claims handling experience working directly for an insurance carrier. ? Proven track record in managing litigated cases. ? Exceptional customer service and organizational skills. ? High School Diploma required; Bachelor?s Degree preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
? Annual base salary ranging from $90,000 to $115,000, plus performance-based bonuses.
