Sentara Health is currently hiring an Imaging Incidental Findings Patient Navigator for the Imaging/Radiology Department!
Status: Full-Time permanent position (40 hours)
Standard working hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F
Location: Remote in Virginia. Will report to Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital approx 2x a year for team meetings etc.
Job Responsibilities: ? Proficient in operating Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for effectively managing patient appointments and orders. ? Responsibilities include order entry, navigate through medical records, follow-up on patient orders, and other various clerical duties. ? A strong foundation in medical terminology is preferred. ? Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and providers.
Required qualifications: ? Two of the four skill levels REQUIRED
1. Two years experience in healthcare environment or
2. Completion of healthcare related certificate program or
3. Associate's Degree or higher or
4. Transferable skills (i.e., 1 year or more in a call center, customer services, etc.)
? HS Diploma REQUIRED
Preferred qualifications: ? With radiology/imaging clerical OR medical transcription/terminology background preferred

Job Summary
Coordinates activities for specific physician practices, including insurance verification/obtaining precertification, scheduling, pre-registration, and order transmission (faxing). Purpose is to ensure maximum reimbursement and reduce denials related to incomplete insurance information and/or authorization. Maintains statistics and acts as liaison between clinical testing sites and physicians' offices.
