Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
? Conduct thorough investigations, evaluations, and resolutions of 1st party property claims, ensuring precise assessment of damages or losses.
? Analyze and interpret policy coverage to ascertain the company's liability extent.
? Collaborate with field adjusters, contractors, appraisers, and other professionals to guarantee the accuracy of repair or replacement costs.
? Engage with policyholders to facilitate a seamless claims process, providing clear explanations of coverage, next steps, and settlement offers.
? Negotiate claim settlements within established limits, balancing policyholder satisfaction with company objectives.
? Compile comprehensive reports and documentation for claims, adhering to internal and regulatory compliance standards.
? Stay informed on company policies, state regulations, and industry best practices relevant to property claims.
? Partner with team members across departments to resolve intricate claims issues.
? Establish reserves, monitor developments, and adjust as necessary based on claim circumstances.
? Manage in-house claims and oversee those related to homeowners and commercial property claims handled by a Third-Party Administrator (TPA).

Required Skills
? Minimum of 3 years' experience as a homeowner or commercial property claims adjuster/examiner or in a similar capacity.
? Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in the insurance domain.
? Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
? Proficient in Xactimate and MS Office/Google Workspace applications.
? Comprehensive understanding of property and casualty insurance, including claims processes and policy interpretation.
? Relevant insurance certifications such as AIC or CPCU are preferred.
