Vertex Aerospace is seeking a Cost Price Analyst IV to join our corporate office in Madison, MS. This position is integral to our mission of providing smart solutions that integrate physical and digital infrastructure globally. The Cost Price Analyst will be responsible for reviewing contractor cost and price proposals to ensure they are reasonable, allowable, and allocable. This role is crucial in establishing pricing objectives that will be utilized in contract negotiations, whether for awarding initial contracts or evaluating changes during the contract's progress. In this role, the analyst will analyze data and supplier proposals to determine fair and reasonable pricing while ensuring compliance with US Government pricing regulations. The position requires conducting fact-finding to review the basis of estimates and source documentation that verifies proposal cost estimates. The analyst will also review technical analyses and audit reports to assist in evaluating price/cost reasonableness and support price negotiations with suppliers. The Cost Price Analyst will utilize industry techniques and practices to establish fair pricing positions and negotiation ranges. This includes reviewing subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for procuring specialized materials, equipment, and services. A strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) Supplements is essential, particularly FAR Part 15 and Title 10 CFR 600. Additionally, the analyst may function in an advisory or leadership capacity, providing direction to professional staff and participating in the selection, development, and training of procurement staff. Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are necessary to accurately document, report, and present findings while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, SAP, and other relevant applications is also required.
Responsibilities

Requirements
? Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 4 years of directly related government, industrial, or aerospace experience OR Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a minimum of 2 years of directly related government, industrial, or aerospace experience, or equivalent (Associate Degree with a minimum of 8 years of directly related government, industrial or aerospace experience, OR completion of high school or equivalent and a minimum of 12 years of directly related government, industrial experience.

? Knowledge and competence in the concepts, principles, and standard practices of defense/government contracting costing and pricing.

? Ability to negotiate and work in a government contracting environment and be able to analyze and solve a variety of moderately complex costing problems.

? Computer literate with knowledge of computer applications relevant to the position, including spreadsheet applications.
