Maximus is currently hiring for a Provider Relations Specialist! The Provider Relations Specialist is responsible to ensure optimal results in education, servicing, and ongoing relationship management with HCBS Providers, Health Home Care Management, and related stakeholders. The incumbent will monitor service utilization for each eligible consumer in CYES, ensuring that all referrals are accurately referred for, documentation is in-record, and that appropriate follow-up is occurring for those consumers. The Provider Relations Specialist will be involved with all quality improvement (QI) activities related to consumers receiving HCBS including but not limited to auditing of case records, provider outreach and relationship building, guiding staff on next steps, advocating for service placement and continuity, and participating in any provider-related meetings with stakeholders. The Provider Relations Specialist will develop a comprehensive knowledge of MAXIMUS and behavioral health practices to develop and manage an engagement strategy, focused on creating a sense of community and to develop and direct implementation of adequate service placement and monitoring.

This is a fully remote and full-time position located in the state of New York. Some travel may be required.

About Children and Youth Evaluation Services (CYES):

Maximus has partnered with the New York State Department of Health to establish the Children and Youth Evaluation Service (CYES) program to determine whether a child or youth is eligible for home and community-based services (HCBS) covered by Medicaid. CYES makes eligibility determinations primarily for children and youth aged 0-21 years who have been identified as being Medically Fragile (MDF) or having a Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). CYES Nurse Evaluators conduct conflict-free evaluations of these children and youth to assess their needs for HCBS and develop person-centered plans of care. CYES Family Support Coordinators provide coordination and referral services and assist HCBS-eligible children or youth to apply for Medicaid.

Education and Experience Requirements

Primary Responsibilities: ? Collaborates with Shared Services, Operations Support, Nursing, and Quality Assurance in relation to service utilization and monitoring ? Quality improvement for referrals and linkages of services ? Floater for each department in relation but not limited to HCBS and HH referrals, Plans of Care monitoring, referral related documentation, and auditing of service-related reports ? Assists with provider outreach between Operations Support Manager and Project Director ? Assists the Operations Support Unit with auditing of consumer records related to access to services ? Works closely with the CYES leadership team and leads provider-related meetings ? Monitors, inputs, manipulates, and presents reports and dashboard/activity as needed ? Meets all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position

Minimum Requirements: ? Bachelor?s Degree in related field (i.e, pyschology, anthropology, social work, healthcare, sociology) ? Minimum of 3 years experience overseeing service utilization, large volumes of consumer referrals, networking, presenting and facilitiating meetings ? Knowledge of online consumer referral processes ? Knowledge of troubleshooting service barriers ? High degree of technical knowledge and proficiency in navigating between multiple systems ? Strong interpersonal and communication skills ? Strong ability to facilitate meetings with various stakeholders ? Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail ? Ability to multi-task and prioritize job duties ? Excellent attention to detail exhibited through written, oral and documentation job responsibilities ? Proficient in Microsoft Office (Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) ? Possess excellent analytical and critical thinking skills ? Ability to travel for business purposes, as needed. ? Active New York state ID.

Preferred Requirements: ? Prior experience with Children?s Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) and/or Children?s Health Home Care Management ? Experience with Health Commerce System, MAPP, Home and Community Based Services ? Previous experience in health Home Care Management

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
