Insurance Eligibility Specialist

Job Description

As an Insurance Eligibility Specialist, you will:
? Verify insurance eligibility for scheduled appointments.
? Track and maintain insurance referrals to ensure continuity of care.
? Answer patient inquiries regarding their account balances.
? Process payments on behalf of patients.
? Verify benefits and coverage for services.
? Resolve billing inconsistencies and errors.
? Provide pricing to self-pay patients.
? Maintain confidentiality by adhering to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
? Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: ? High School Diploma or equivalent. ? Previous experience in medical billing/collections required. ? Must possess knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (also known as EOBs, remittances, etc.) with an understanding of copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and denial codes. ? Attention to detail and ability to work independently. ? Proficient customer service skills. ? The ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced environment. ? Working knowledge of MS Office.
