About the position

The Business Risk Specialist at U.S. Bank plays a crucial role in the organization's risk management structure, which is designed to promote effective governance and risk management. The specialist will provide guidance and support to various lines of business while assisting in the implementation of business risk initiatives.

Responsibilities
? Monitor systems, databases, information, processes, or procedures related to business risk.

? Identify and escalate matters requiring attention to the appropriate area.

? Perform work on projects and initiatives related to risk management.

? Assist in the assessment and implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

? Coordinate the collection and/or compilation of data and provide reports.

? Analyze data and provide guidance, support, and recommendations to Lines of Business.
,
? Assist in the implementation of business risk initiatives.

Requirements
? Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
,
? Two to three years of applicable experience in risk management or related fields.

Nice-to-haves
? Moderate understanding of associated operations, products/services, systems, and risks/controls applicable to assigned area.

? Intermediate understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends.

? Well-developed analytical skills.
,
? Proficient computer navigation skills, particularly in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.

? Effective verbal and written communication skills.
,
? Previous experience in security, fraud, anti-money laundering, and/or financial services.
